Membership

Membership of the Royal Academy of Dance affirms professional standing and offers suport, training and advice to over 13,000 members in 79 countries.

We support our Members in their professional life by:

• managing the largest classical ballet examination board in the world
• ensuring our examination qualifications are accredited by appropriate regulatory bodies
• developing an examination syllabus relevant to the needs of today’s students and teachers
• re-assessing the examination system through feedback from educationalists, teachers and examiners
• providing a range of higher education programmes and continuing professional development courses
• provide research facilities

The RAD welcomes applications for membership from individuals who have achieved success at examination. Individuals who do not hold an RAD qualification are invited to become Friends of the Academy.

The Royal Academy of Dance greatly appreciates any feedback on Membership.
