As a Friend of the Academy individuals can support the future of dance and celebrate its cultural heritage. The Academy encourages their members to attend regular events and brings together those that are passionate about dance to enhance audience appreciation.

The Academy needs the support of its Friends to enable it to perform its mission to promote dance throughout the world.

At the RAD we aim to:

• advance standards of dance education and training around the world
• ensure future generations receive instruction of the highest standards from qualified teachers
• work actively in the worldwide community to share in the enjoyment of dance
• preserve dance heritage and protect choreographic copyright
• increase the profile of dance internationally
